#1 A mountain landscape becomes a mother’s profile.
मेरी धरती, मेरी माँ,
Meri dharti, meri Maa,
My Earth, my Mother.

Voices of PVH presents
My Earth, My Mother.
A music video that brings Mother Earth’s story into a moving oil-painted world.
Meri Dharti, Meri Maa · Voices of PVH Watch on YouTube ↗
The visual concept took shape around a simple question: how could the Earth feel like a mother, rather than just a landscape? A face within the mountains, the ache of a bare forest, and a bird beneath a turning sky gave that feeling a visual language. Many hours went into bringing colour, texture and the transitions together as one oil-painted story. These loose pencil interpretations invite a closer look at the shapes and emotions within three moments from the finished music video.

#1 A mountain landscape becomes a mother’s profile.
मेरी धरती, मेरी माँ,
Meri dharti, meri Maa,
My Earth, my Mother.

#2 Bare trees and a stream carry the feeling of a damaged landscape.
पेड़ों को काटा, छाँव भी गई,
Pedon ko kaata, chhaaon bhi gayi,
We cut down the trees, and the shade was gone too.

#3 A small bird on a bare branch, beneath a turning sky.
पंछी की आवाज़ खो गई,
Panchhi ki aawaaz kho gayi,
The bird’s voice was lost.

From the production lyrics shared by Voices of PVH. Wording may differ from the recorded performance.
Aa... aa...
Meri dharti, meri Maa,
Teri khamoshi hai sadaa...
Pedon ko kaata, chhaaon bhi gayi,
Nadiyon mein zehar ki dhaara bahi.
Mitti ko becha, pahaad bhi tode,
Laalach ke khaatir sab rishte chhode.
Lete hi jaayein, lete hi jaayein,
Maa ke hi daaman ko aag lagaayein.
Suno, yeh dharti pukaar rahi,
Har saans mein dard utaar rahi.
Hum jaante hain, phir bhi kyun,
Maa ki sadaa ansuni rahi?
MAA, HUMNE YEH KYA KIYA?
TERA HAR RANG CHHEEN LIYA!
TERE JANGAL, TERI NADIYAAN,
SAB KUCH HUMNE CHHEEN LIYA!
MAA, HUMNE YEH KYA KIYA?
KAL KA SURAJ CHHEEN LIYA!
TERE ZAKHMON KI HAR LAKEER,
LIKH RAHI HAI HAMARI TAQDEER!
Panchhi ki aawaaz kho gayi,
Jangal ki har saans ro gayi.
Isko taraqqi ka naam diya,
Har zakhm ko inaam diya.
Jis Maa ne humko jeena sikhaaya,
Usi ka ghar humne jalaaya.
MAA, HUMNE YEH KYA KIYA?
TERA HAR RANG CHHEEN LIYA!
TERE JANGAL, TERI NADIYAAN,
SAB KUCH HUMNE CHHEEN LIYA!
MAA, HUMNE YEH KYA KIYA?
KAL KA SURAJ CHHEEN LIYA!
TERE ZAKHMON KI HAR LAKEER,
LIKH RAHI HAI HAMARI TAQDEER!
Jab aakhri ped gir jaayega,
Saawan kis se milne aayega?
Jab aakhri panchhi chup hoga,
Subah ka geet kaun gaayega?
Kal bachche humse poochhenge,
Maa ko kyun marne diya?
MAA, HUMNE YEH KYA KIYA?
TERA HAR RANG CHHEEN LIYA!
AB BHI WAQT HAI, SAMBHAL JAAYEIN,
WARNA KAHAAN HUM GHAR PAAYEIN?
Maa ne sab kuch diya,
Humne sab kuch le liya...
Meri dharti, meri Maa...
Humne yeh kya kiya?
Aa... aa...Aa... aa...
Meri dharti, meri Maa,My Earth, my Mother,
Teri khamoshi hai sadaa...Your silence is a call...
Pedon ko kaata, chhaaon bhi gayi,We cut down the trees, and the shade was gone too,
Nadiyon mein zehar ki dhaara bahi.Streams of poison flowed through the rivers.
Mitti ko becha, pahaad bhi tode,We sold the soil and broke apart the mountains,
Laalach ke khaatir sab rishte chhode. For greed, we abandoned every bond.
Lete hi jaayein, lete hi jaayein,We keep taking, we keep taking,
Maa ke hi daaman ko aag lagaayein.Setting fire to the very lap of our Mother.
Suno, yeh dharti pukaar rahi,Listen, this Earth is calling,
Har saans mein dard utaar rahi.Pouring pain into every breath.
Hum jaante hain, phir bhi kyun,We know, so why, even now,
Maa ki sadaa ansuni rahi?Has our Mother’s call gone unheard?
MAA, HUMNE YEH KYA KIYA?MOTHER, WHAT HAVE WE DONE?
TERA HAR RANG CHHEEN LIYA!WE TOOK AWAY EVERY COLOUR OF YOURS!
TERE JANGAL, TERI NADIYAAN,YOUR FORESTS, YOUR RIVERS,
SAB KUCH HUMNE CHHEEN LIYA!WE TOOK IT ALL AWAY!
MAA, HUMNE YEH KYA KIYA?MOTHER, WHAT HAVE WE DONE?
KAL KA SURAJ CHHEEN LIYA!WE TOOK AWAY TOMORROW’S SUN!
TERE ZAKHMON KI HAR LAKEER,EVERY LINE OF YOUR WOUNDS
LIKH RAHI HAI HAMARI TAQDEER!IS WRITING OUR DESTINY!
Panchhi ki aawaaz kho gayi,The bird’s voice was lost,
Jangal ki har saans ro gayi.Every breath of the forest wept.
Isko taraqqi ka naam diya,We gave this the name of progress,
Har zakhm ko inaam diya.Rewarded every wound.
Jis Maa ne humko jeena sikhaaya,The Mother who taught us how to live,
Usi ka ghar humne jalaaya. It was her home that we burned.
Jab aakhri ped gir jaayega,When the last tree falls,
Saawan kis se milne aayega?Whom will the monsoon come to meet?
Jab aakhri panchhi chup hoga,When the last bird falls silent,
Subah ka geet kaun gaayega?Who will sing the morning song?
Kal bachche humse poochhenge,Tomorrow, the children will ask us,
Maa ko kyun marne diya? Why did you let Mother die?
MAA, HUMNE YEH KYA KIYA?MOTHER, WHAT HAVE WE DONE?
TERA HAR RANG CHHEEN LIYA!WE TOOK AWAY EVERY COLOUR OF YOURS!
AB BHI WAQT HAI, SAMBHAL JAAYEIN,THERE IS STILL TIME; LET US CHANGE OUR WAYS,
WARNA KAHAAN HUM GHAR PAAYEIN?OR WHERE WILL WE FIND A HOME?
Maa ne sab kuch diya,Mother gave us everything,
Humne sab kuch le liya...We took everything away...
Meri dharti, meri Maa...My Earth, my Mother...
Humne yeh kya kiya? What have we done?

The song asks us to see the Earth as more than a place we live. Calling her Mother makes that relationship personal: the ground beneath our feet, the water we depend on, and the living world that sustains us.
Writing the song took time: finding meaningful Hindi words that would flow naturally when sung. The music needed to reflect what we are doing to Mother Earth. The music video grew from that foundation. We wanted that feeling to become a visual world. Vibrant colour and oil-painted texture gave the music video its language, while many hours went into making the scenes flow as one connected story.
This video is our Deepavali gift to the wonderful supporters of Voices of PVH. Thank you for listening, encouraging and sharing this journey. We hope it leaves you with a little more love for the Earth we all call home.
With love and gratitude,
